Week 28 Visit to Dr Chen..

This is also the scheduled GTT (Glucose Tolerance Test). Mummy had to start fasting from midnight the night before, and no food and drinks all the way until the GTT is over. Our appointment was the first, at 0930hrs! So a sleepy and tired Mummy went to the clinic to wait for Dr Chen to arrive. Dr Chen withdrew a sample of blood from Mummy's right arm, and thereafter Mummy had to drink a whole bottle of Glucose drink which tasted like 7-up, except that it is extra sweet.

Dr Chen did a scan. Baby is still in a breech position, horizontal breech.. Haha.. And baby is facing down, facing Mummy's buttock to be exact. Dr Chen did not manage to scan baby's face totally, but baby is 1055grams at week 28. A healthy and average weight. And Mummy weighed 69.6kg, a little short of 70kg! Yeah.. Haven hit 70kg yet. Heehee

2nd visit in an hours' time was to draw another blood sample, from the same arm and same hole! Was a tad painful, but still bearable.

3rd visit in another hours' time. Dr Chen tried to draw from another hole at the same arm, but proved to be futile and Mummy was in pain. Dr Chen had no choice but to draw the blood from the same hole 3 times. Dr Chen did another scan, this time was worse, notti Isabelle was totally facing downwards in the same breech position, and refused to even show us a wee bit of her cheek! So for week 28, there is NO 3D photo! Mummy is very upset with notti Isabelle.
